Reiki for humans is offered in person and as distance healing. Reiki flows through a practitioner's palms at different rates of speed, depending on various factors such as the extent of the recipient's illness, degree of blockage, his or her readiness to accept change, and so on.
Reiki is usually performed hands on with the practitioner actually touching the client. However, at some times, it may not be comfortable for the client to be touched as in cases of extreme pain. At Whispering Wind Reiki, we recognize that some people just prefer not to be touched. It doesn't matter whether actual touch is involved or not, the Reiki energy can be submitted either by touching, not touching or across vast distances.
Common Reiki sensations during a treatment are heat or coolness, "pins and needles" tingling, vibrational buzzing, electrical sparks, numbness, throbbing, itchiness, and drowsiness.
Reiki is an intelligent energy because it knows which areas of the body most need healing and will automatically flow to specific areas where suffering or imbalance are prevalent.
Although Reiki energy is spiritual in nature, Reiki is not a religion. You are not asked to change any religious or spiritual beliefs you may have. You are free to continue believing anything you choose and are encouraged to make your own decisions concerning the nature of your religious practices.
No practitioner at Whispering Wind Reiki is a licensed medical professional; therefore, we never diagnose illness or disease, prescribe medication nor perform medical treatment. All clients should consult their medical practitioners as needed.

Chakra Clearing and Balancing
In addition to Reiki, healing is offered through Chakra Balancing Rituals (done by distance or in person) using Reiki Blessed Crystals. This Ritual is helpful for beings feeling out of sorts with perhaps no identifiable physical or emotional disease. During this Ritual, a being's Seven Chakras are cleared and balanced creating a more harmonious body which will be able to accept and radiate well-being fully.

Intuitive Energetic Counseling
Intuitive Energetic Counseling is also offered on a limited basis. How do we move past our personal dramas and fears that live on the surface of ourselves and into the soul of our deepest being? Erin's purpose in offering Energetic Healing is to assist people in learning to trust their own unique emotional guidance systems in healing their physical, mental and emotional lives. And further to assist people in living full, satisfying and complete lives - to truly take their lives off the AutoPilot that we all learned as children.

At Whispering Wind Reiki, we charge Reiki and Chakra Balancing clients by the session no matter how long an individual session might last. Intuitive Energetic Counseling sessions are one hour long. Sessions are available by purchase individually or in quantities of two or three sessions for a discount if purchased at the same time. Animal Services
Whispering Wind Reiki offers Reiki for animals of all kinds as well as animal communication services. Because of our training in natural horsemanship, we are well-qualified to work with horses of any kind.
While Reiki is mainly used for healing people, in more recent years those of us who have learned Reiki have realized how beneficial this healing system could be to pets and other animals.
Because Reiki is healing energy, it will never harm you or your pet. Reiki can be given to any animal because it does not involve the diagnosis or treatment of medical conditions and never includes the administration of any drugs. Animals love Reiki and are open to its healing power. If your pet has emotional problems due to a traumatic situation such as abuse or neglect, Reiki can help release and heal those emotions. For behavioral issues such as nervousness or hyperactivity, Reiki can help your pet relax and reduce their stress and anxiety.
If your pet is sick or injured, Reiki can help your pet heal more quickly. If your pet is facing a serious illness, Reiki can help bring comfort and be a great compliment to conventional treatment. If your beloved pet is dying, Reiki for animals can help bring peace and comfort to you and your pet during this difficult time. It really seems to help them relax so they are not afraid and struggling to stay a part of our lives.
Reiki can always be performed from a distance so as to ensure the safety of the practitioner and the animal. We always ask permission of any animal before offering Reiki.

Are there any side effects for animals from a Reiki session?
Sometimes animals be very relaxed and sometimes they will be full of energy and power after a Reiki treatment. It depends solely on the animal. However, sometimes an animal (just like a person) can have what is called a healing crisis. As a being's vibration goes up, toxins that have been stored in the body are released into the blood stream to be filtered by the liver and kidneys and removed from the system. When this happens, sometimes an animal be weak or even get what humans call "sick". This is the natural process of cleansing and is to be expected in any being as it heals. If this happens, it is a good idea to pay close attention to the animal and support the cleansing and detoxification process completely. This can be a good sign!
What if I have an emergency and need Reiki right away?
We know from experience that emergencies happen. Reiki works wonders for colic, lacerations, migraines, and all kinds of medical emergencies. IF YOU HAVE A LIFE THREATENING MEDICAL EMERGENCY (YOU OR ONE OF YOUR ANIMALS), PLEASE GO TO THE NEAREST EMERGENCY FACILITY IMMEDIATELY OR CALL YOUR VET! After you seek professional medical or veterinary care, contact us and we'll do an emergency session. We can do an emergency session for you or your animal long distance at the same time medical or veterinary care is being administered!

These services are offered through distance healing only. (Our insurance doesn't cover us using candles and burning down a barn somewhere!)
